Water sports
Hellevoetsluis has been connected to water for centuries. Due to its location on the beautiful Haringvliet inlet, Hellevoetsluis is a favourite spot for water sports enthusiasts. Many water sports enthusiasts moor their boats at Hellevoetsluis. The town has as many as 6 marinas, and the Heliushaven is by far the largest of them. The harbour entrance is very distinct – if you are coming from the east, you sail past the lighthouse. Quite soon after, you will see the large entrance to the Heliushaven. The Heliushaven Hellevoetsluis offers four possibilities: Cape Helius, Watersportvereniging Haringvliet, Watersportvereniging Hellevoetsluis and Watersportvereniging Helius. Cape Helius is a commercial marina, and the other three marinas are for associations.
